Case Study – School District Coronavirus

OVERVIEW:
As students and teachers prepare for schools to reopen once more after winter break in the midst of the pandemic, school districts are turning to trusted TSN members, such as Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC), to unleash the groundbreaking disinfection of SteraMist to help protect highly-trafficked, high-touch, and enclosed areas within their facilities.

MEETING THE NEED:
Rocky Mountain Construction was contacted by the administration of Widefield School District in Colorado Springs and asked to provide high-level disinfection to facilities within the district. Using only 2 SteraMist Surface Units and a little over 300 gallons of BITTM Solution, RMC was able to disinfect approximately 1.5 million ft2 across 21 facilities.

THE RESULT:
Following the SteraMist treatment, schools were able to reopen at 100% capacity with a far lower infection rate for all forms of pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus, providing confidence to staff, students, and visitors. With a contract awainting renewal, school officials are envisioning SteraMist as an ongoing effort to mitigate future risks of infection.
