Case Study – McDonalds

OVERVIEW:
When an individual within a New York McDonald’s tested positive for COVID-19, the owner of the restaurant immediately took the proper steps to address the situation and treat the facility with the help of SteraMist®. To do so, they reached out to their local TOMI Service
Network provider, Zott Construction. In order to ensure continued operations, they sought to complete the job in the span of a single day.

MEETING THE NEED:
Within the given deadline, they were instructed to provide SteraMist® treatment to every facility wall and window up to 8 feet in height, as well as high-touch surfaces such as cash registers, computers, telephones, etc. As a well-known restaurant brand, the facility sees large amounts of food contact and delivery to the surrounding area. With this in mind, the disinfection needed to be thorough and effective.

THE RESULT:
Despite the tight deadline and the scale of the areas to be treated, the crew successfully managed to complete the job. By using only two (2) technicians and two (2) gallons of BIT™ Solution, each technician only required a total of four hours each to apply SteraMist® to the entirety of the facility and validate the treatment before allowing employees to return to the facility. In light of the successful application, the management of the Poughkeepsie McDonald’s reached out to Zott Construction to thank them for the professional and timely treatment.

“AFTER THE ENTIRE PROCESS, MY EMPLOYEES (AND INCLUDING MYSELF) FELT SAFE AND SECURE TO RETURN TO WORK. GREAT JOB!
